If there is one thing we know about moms, it's that they're their child's biggest fan. Moms support, encourage and are super proud of their children - and they love to show it.
For Mother's Day, we created several charm stencils to represent different interests of moms and her kids. These may be things you do together, activities that remind your mom of you - or remind you of your mom.
These special little charms can be made into:
The artist's palette is the perfect charm for moms of artistic children, moms who are painters, designers or Bob Ross fans (just kidding, but really, it applies). Here we made it into an adorable wine charm, but it would also make an attractive scarf broach or magnet for kid's artwork!
To make the paint palette, first trace the palette and fill in with wood filament. Leave the finger hole open for attaching the charm ring or keychain.
Add swirling dabs of different colors around the edges - preferably mom's favorite colors.
Finish with a tiny paint brush in the middle.
The camera can have so many meanings when it comes to moms. She loves capturing the special moments of her kids lives. Or maybe it's her lively hood. Whatever the reason, this adorable little camera charm makes a thoughtful, cherished gift.
To make the camera, first trace the camera template and fill in with black filament. Leave the view hole open for attaching the tea infuser chain or keychain. If making a pin or magnet, fill in the viewer with clear filament.
With gray filament, coil around the circle to create the 3D lens. Add buttons and details.
Close the top of the coiled lens with clear filament.
With a steady hand, draw a ring around the edge of the lens with black filament.
Lights, camera, action! With video cameras on our phones, kids perform everyday for their parents' delight. Celebrate aspiring actors and actresses with a personalized director's clapboard.
To make the movie clapboard, first trace the clapboard template and fill in with black filament. Leave the white areas empty and then fill in.
Add the child's name (your name if you're making it for your mom) in contrasting filament.
Glue a pin backing to the back of your charm.
Moms are the ultimate super fan, sitting in the stands, cheering on her kids. Our project template has stencils for many popular sports such as: football, hockey, basketball, baseball, dance/ballet, tennis and an all-purpose pennant.
To make the sports charms, first trace the desired template and fill in with appropriate filament.
Glue a piece of magnet to the back and wait for the glue to dry.
TIP: Magnets can be purchased as small discs or in a roll that can be cut to size and shape.
