Good Starter Kit

I am enjoying diving into 3D doodling with this kit. So far it was a good value for the cost.

Changing 3D Pens

I had a 3D doodler, bought one of the first many years ago now. But I liked the idea of using larger spools of filament (and cheaper too), as well as the ease of unblocking it, do I thought I would give this pen a try. It did get blocked after first using it, but Mynt3d customer service was extremely prompt in responding with a solution, which worked. Being able to undo the pen and see what the issue was has improved its smooth running - and I like this feature. One thing I would have liked is a button that keeps it continually running rather than using finger pressure, I have weakness in my hands so this makes them tire easily. Otherwise, i am more than happy so far…

Functions great, my brother loves it.

Got it for my brother as an accessory to the rest of his printers. After opening it up he and his girlfriend sat there on the floor for the entire day making stuff. I don't have any experience with other pens, but this unit I would say; heats up quickly, speed control has a good gradient, and the retraction when you let go of the feed button is great. The pads it came with are very thick and high quality. Be prepared the included filament won't last very long if they like it at all. I haven't tried the included filament in a full sized printer, but it seems high quality as well.

Gamechanger!

Amazing kit: my first pen tip burnt out after considerable use: super stoked with the replacement tips & backup pen- cannot imagine not having one available now... the silicone template is an absolute gamechanger for building structure: everyone should have one!
